First Scrim
This image is a friend who passed away last month. I made this for his wife. I have a new found respect for some of the scrim work I have seen here.

Re: First Scrim
Matson,
Although it is somewhat difficult to see your photo, I am encouraged to see another Scrimshander. There are many on here that can give you a tip or two on producing a bit better photo to share. Looking forward to seeing more of your work. |

Re: First Scrim
Thanks for the input. I am trying to figure out how to get a larger photo with the limited file size available. I can clearly see on the original, but by the time I shrunk the file to allowable limits, it post very small. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks again for looking.

Re: First Scrim
Hi Matson,
Doesnt the forum shrink the pic by itself? Whenn I upload any picture to my album I don't resise first and I am pretty sure that my pics tend to be just a bit bigger than alowed. You could also use Photobucket to upload you photo's and then copy and past the forum link for that photo. I don't know anything about scrimshaw but from what I have read it seems to need a lot of patience and artistic skills. Hope to see your bigger picture soon. Daniel |

Re: First Scrim
Just uploaded a larger photo, hope this helps. Also, in my hasted, I put Jr. instead of Sr. after the name. I got it back, thought of having to start over, but picked the ink out of the "J" area, re-stippled for "S" and used a 0000 brush to fill the "S" and was very surprised to find out it actually worked.
