Hello everyone!
Well, i have been lurking and reading though all of the info and finally signed up for the forum. I have had an interest in metal engraving for a long time, but due to the costs, i took up leather tooling a year ago. I have been very successful with leather tooling, but cannot shake the itch to try metal engraving.
Any info on where i could get a sharpened point and a handle for cheap would be appreciated. Is there somewhere i can buy used? Anyone offer a trial? I do not have a problem with spending money on these tools, but only after i am sure that metal engraving suits me. I look forward to contributing to the forum. Thanks to all and to Steve for putting together such an amazing amount of resources. Cheers! |

Re: Hello everyone!
Look in the main forum for a thread stickied up at the top about "Inexpensive way to give it a try". It is, not surprisingly, about an inexpensive way to give it a try. Steve has a package of a point, handle, stone, and sharpening template.
