Hello
Thanks. I am not an engraver, just use some of the tools at the bench, as a working jeweler stone setter. I followed a link from a thread in Orchid to this site, because the art of using engraving tools interests me.
I am interested in finding training, to increase my skills with my tools, layout, etc, although do not intend to become a "hand engraver" per se. |

Re: Hello
Hi ringdoctor,
Welcome to this forum. I am a jeweler and diamond setter as well. Beware of buying a Lindsay Airgraver I never wanted to engrave but wanted the airgraver to set stones. Now I feel I can engrave and would almost rather engrave then set stones This is so much fun and so easy to use aspecially with your abilitys as a setter. Check out my album and see what I learned to engrave in just over a year. I have had the PC for two and a half by now but for the last year and a bit things have changed and I don't have a lot of free time anymore to do what i would like to do (engrave). Best of luck and hope to see some of your work! Daniel. |
