A local knifemaker/blacksmith asked me to do a little embellishment on this auction item. Sid, at Little Giant Trip Hammers, had built a knife every year for the last 30years and donated it to the local Ducks unlimited chapter for their spring Banquet/fundraiser. I spent 5 months living in Sid's basment as my house was inaccessable due to the levy breaches along the Missouri River. Sid allowed me to set up my bench and carve while being his basement troll. I guess my skill level got good enough that he asked me to letter and scroll the very last knife he will donate. This is hand forged "W" pattern damascus, German Silver fittings and desert iron wood slabs. Sid provided the sketch of the scroll work he wanted. Critiques are welcome!
