a Westley Richards shotgun, the top lever with a golden eagle head.

Wow! It does look alive. Very realistic sculpturing, and most inspiring. I'm not familiar with shotguns so much, did you add the whole metal piece to the shotgun? Or is it a part of it that you carved?

This is the original part of the gun. I did not add metal because the top lever was thick enough. That's not always the case.

The remark is interesting, that's a thing of which I thought. This is why the beak of the bird is only half-opened. In the event of awkwardness during the shooting, the hand must normally slip over the head of the eagle. I specify that the recoil in this case is not very big because of the light caliber, a 410 shotgun.
