Default Ron Jr. Bulino

Just finished the first side of this S.R. Johnson knife with rams horn scales. A close up of a rams head is going on the other side.

Was real nervous starting this project as its been over a year since I've done any bulino. At best I still feel like I'm fumbling around in the dark with a graver.

Sorry for the picture quality, my flippn' tripod actually broke and I had to cobble it together enough (duck tape and super glue, what would man do without them?) to take a few quick pics. The right side of the pic (especially the head & horn) is terribly out of focus. Oh and that's a quarter shown in the top edge of the photo for size reference.

Hope you enjoy and as always all critiques/comments are more than welcome and appreciated.

This looks like a very nice Bulino portrait to me, RonJr! I don't have any experience with that technique myself, I'm wondering if it is the same stippling method as scrimshaw but than in metal instead of ivory? I cannot imagine how a fine pointed bulino graver removes the metal while just stippling, I have to try that out. Greetings, Paulsph
