Well, at least it's not like it used to be in the Photography world where rich guys (usually doctors for some reason) would buy all of the very best equipment - top of the line all the way - and then never finish the roll of film that came with it.

You at least make good use of your lovely little toys.

But you know, since you do have such an excess I'd be willing to, uh... store one for you.

You'll notice I only offered to provide safe storage for one of his redundant PalmControls (I think the one with the damascus handle would fit my rather large hands best).

Of course you can make the argument that you provide a more 'offsite' storage place.

OK, I got to fess up , the demascus handle was a loaner from Steve. We had a little warm up mini engrave-in at the shop today , and Steve wanted everyone to see and feel the new handle. It's hard to belive that one could improve on the Palm control but the demascus handle adds a little more weight and dampening to the tool and makes it a little sweeter cutting and smoother idling. I think Steve is about as OCD as myself and is always striving for improvements to make a great tool greater.
Maybe Scott Pilkington can post some pictures of our outing today ,I was to busy drooling over John Rohner's engraved hammer collection to take any pictures.
Later
Paul

Thanks Paul for giving the hard time to Jerry. I bet Jerry is going to get two more PCs. So then Jerry will have four in all and you'll then need to catch up to him.

I plan to make the Damascus handles for PalmControls as needed. That was the same PalmControl that Bryce and Olivia were demoing at the Kearney, Nebraska gun show last weekend. Here is another shot of it.

Just ask
I planned to only make them for PalmControls but let me think about a way to attach one to your Artisan.

I've been working on four more damascus handles. If I get time today there isn't much to go on them to finish. Two are like this one that Paul checked out and two are a mosaic damascus.

Finished the 4 handles. All that is left is to etch them. I'll try to get that done this weekend. Later this next week I'll figure up what they will be priced at.

I see the order. Great, thank you. Should I just attach 4 Damascus handles to them? Instead of "would you like fries with that?" It will be "would you like Damascus handles with that?" Seriously though, thanks again, I'm glad you are liking the first one.

They look neat and most importantly are comfy and hold the gravers perfectly and the weight is nice...
I am planning to re-invent my setting tools so i just use the templates from now on ..
Standard universal point - for engraving
Phils bulino point - no idea how to do bulino as yet but can use for other things!
Flat/knife combo - planning two flats of different widths and a knife to take place of my onglette...

Rounds or more like half rounds i started making from old bead grainers ( they work great for cutting or bead raising and are dead easy to make up) and i have a heap of old good for nothing grain tools.
I`ll keep my quick change handles for them as they fit better being metric sized. I have stained and polished the handles to match though
M42 blanks are great once the initial shaping is done.

You've hung around Paul too long Jerry. PC, donuts and a game of pool.

Completed the four Damascus handles over the weekend. Now just to setup and try to shot some good shots of them.
