Airgraver
I have been using my Airgraver for a little over a month now. During this time I have engraved more than I have in the past 6 months, it keeps calling me, it is so much more responsive compared to other equipment. Believe it or not I now like engraving as much as riding my Harley. Thank-You Steve!!!
I also like the sheepskin sleeping bag that it comes in. David Gruber www.Sharpgraver.com

Re: Airgraver
Thank you David, I'm glad you're liking the tool.
What do you have for a Harley?

Re: Airgraver
I have a 2000 Heritage. I've been hoping for a cold spell so I can take it apart and Engrave parts of it but it never gets below 75 degrees.
What a dilema:willy_nilly: :whoo:

Re: Airgraver
Lets see I'm sharpening gravers and waiting for things to warm up to melt the ice and snow off the road. Then I can take my 2000 Deuce to the shop to have the top end pulled and sent to Texas. It's kinda amazing what a differance a few miles and a Canadian winter can make.
Hope all turns out for you and you get to cutting on your cases. Can't let the wife see this or she will want her Heritage cases cut. She doesn't understand the whole chrome removal thing if you are only going to put it back on. And you are so right I engrave a lot more with Steve's equipment and enjoy it more than with the other. Not hearing that compressor kick on all the time is sweet silence to my ears as well. |

Re: Airgraver
It is alot more quite than before. Your wife is not alone, no one understands about the chrome removal. Everyone I know thinks the engraving just happens too. I have tried just setting some parts on my bench and when I came back nothing was done.....unbelievable:smilie5:

Re: Airgraver
Hey - there is a trick to it - you get replacement parts (it IS a Harley) and engrave them then swap them out. The ones you take off are engraved then sold at twice the price - problem solved!! :>) (and money in the bank).
PS the reason the parts weren't engraved after putting them on the bench was because "they" were at my house doing some work on mine. (They should be done next week). |

Re: Airgraver
If you want to "protect" your little tool when you set it on the bench look at my post for a pad for it.
