I'm impressed by the detail you're able to etch!

Most acid etching I've seen has had problems with fine detail.

It is true that it is very difficult to achieve high definition in an acid-etching. My technique is traditionally the last century and have evolved in recent years.
My technique acid etching is considered the highest international level.
You may not have seen before engravings mine.
I show some photos that were here long ago.

Just stunning!

The very last knife - the George Washington one - has that just slightly soft look I usually see in acid etched designs. It's a good look, just not as crisp as engraving. I especially like the way it lets you have deep relief in very small areas that would be difficult to do with a graver.

But on the Randall knife right above it - clean, crisp lines I'd swear were engraved.
