I WILL be buying a Classic or Artisan on Monday...which one though?
Ok everyone...My stated desire is to engrave Motorcycle parts and Guns. So this Monday I will be contacting steve to buy the Artisan or Classic...
I ahve used the Classic for about 2 1/2 hrs. REALLY liked it. But to be Honest I really enjoy the hammer and chisel as well. So my question would be .....Is the Classic that much better or should I go the Artisan path? I have some great work done on here with the Artisan...Does the Classic warrant the extra $$$ ref the finished product? Any thoughts would be great. I do have the funds available for Either one but DONT have the funds for the PC. Donny |

Re: I WILL be buying a Classic or Artisan on Monday...which one though?
Hi Donny, that's great news.
Go with the Classic. There's a lot of versatility with the Classic that you will grow into. Steve has additional pistons available and one that is even lighter. This tool is fantastic for shading in ALL metals and handles shading precious metals awesome. It has really become indispensable for me in all of my delicate work. I know you want to do motorcycle parts as well. The high rate of impacts with this tools creates a far better cut than anything else out there. I know I could probably use it for all of the aluminum work I do, but I keep it configured for shading and lettering which I spend the majority of my time on. When I need a good bright cut (not chippy) in aluminum, it's always there ready to go. Good luck Donny!! Chris |

Hi Donny,
I agree with Chris, The Classic is the way to go. Did you order a vise? (Kens?), did you set up a sharpening system? Haven't heard a word from my PM to you. AirAmp |
