Super High Relief Hobo
My latest Hobo Nickel. This one was roughed out in a pitch bowl to pre-form the relief before carving in with my Palm Control. It measures 7.6 mm to the tip of the nose - exactly four times the thickness of the original nickel. I got lucky and managed to keep the date intact but did extensive re-engraving of the "LIBERTY" motto.
