Default Font disappeared

I use a purchased font (Bickham Script Pro) in Inkscape to make transfers for engraving script. A couple of days ago the script went invisible. Spent hours trying to find out what I did to mess it up. Turns out a Microsoft security update killed it. Had to remove the update to make the font work. I understand that there are a lot of people in the same boat with other fonts also. Sigh, unfortunately I am committed to Windows.

There are only two types of people in the world, those that have lost their files, and those that are going to lose their files. Backup backup backup

LOL, well I didn't lose any files. When I removed the MS update everything came back. Gotta love Windows.
