Lighting!
Hello everyone,
I'm new to the forum, and haven't done much engraving. Making a gift for a friend. Took stainless steel and made a part, polished it very shiny, drew a design with ultra fine sharpie, and started with very cheap electric engraver. First not enough light for my old eyes to see with. Got a brighter light, high intensity, and now I'm nearly blind from the glare. Any body got any tips? The computer I'm on is blocking some messages someone has been sending me. Thanks for any help! |

Re: Lighting!
Hi Stomper 34,
Welcome to a great forum.. You will get hooked!!! sound like you are already. Here is a link to a solution that you can make up that will cut glare, you are able to draw on and will take laser printer transfers with baking parchment paper. Caution just dont drink it.. http://www.handengravingforum.com/sh...cret+solutions Here is a tutor that might help. http://www.handengravingforum.com/showthread.php?t=2365 And you must check out Steve's great tools. Take a serious look at the Airgraver Artisan for the best bargains in engraving tools and of course the Classic. http://airgraver.com/Hand_Engraving_Tools_Overview.htm AirAmp |
