Here are photographs of two recently completed Glide-Lock vises. They are all stainless construction. 303 stainless and hardened 440C stainless.

maybe when i am big and strong i would have one unless the festive season over powers you with generosity.i would be more than willing to test one for you.

When we talked the day about these vises I knew they were going to be something special, But these are over the top. Great Job!! Do you have anything under $5000.00

Okay, Good.. thank you for liking the photos of them. Here is a close-up of the finish of the rectangle part that the jaws move in. It has been surface ground and then block sanded by hand to 1500 grit paper.

As much time that these have in them they should be $9000 each. I am setting up to make five more and see if I can pick up some speed without losing quality. They are fun to work on and make though

It has 2 3/8" total linear movement. I have a larger version drawn but I don't know if I like it. The Glide-Lock patent issued last month.

As usual, I see more in the picture...

Wanna 'splain the cross shaped wooden pieces? I've seen lots of strange things but if these are jaws, why the cross shape? For 4 different configurations?

Are they prototypes for jaws that are gonna come with the vise?

Hi Brian,

They are wood soft jaws a person can make as needed. These are some old ones I use to hold knives with. I made the hole spacing the same as my old vise jaws so I can still use all my custom soft jaws I made over the years. The soft jaws are pretty easy to make. Just a hand wood saw, a drill and some wood and a person can custom make soft jaws as needed. I have a drawer of them in all different shapes. Some only used one time for holding an odd shaped object.

The metal jaws you see on the vise are reversible and custom metal jaws could even be made to replace them. To remove or reverse the metal jaws just remove the one socket headed cap screw you see on the top of the jaws. The wood jaws are also reversible and bolt to the metal jaws.

Congrations! Your great design shows you are the leader of the engraving industrial again.
Remember the questions that I asked about your vise a few months ago. It shows to me that you have a thoughful consideration in the viewpoint of a end user. I am an industrial designer as well and I admire your great design.
Please don't mind my previous questions are a bit difficult.

Now when I see the photo of the product, I am so surprise with the quality, the polishing is amazing, I wonder you are making an art piece or manufacturing a product?

I hope I can play with it at Reno before I can make the decision but I can't go to Reno this year. I have been working very hard to save the money for a good vise since I see the desgin of your one and Steve Shepherd's one...

now I am ready...

Will contact you again after the Reno becasue I think you will be very busy this period. I hope by the time I can make the decision to buy your vise, the price will not reach to US$12000.

Congratulations for having such a good design and good product once again.

P.S. I cannot see the images at the US patent page!?
