Default Hi from South Africa

Hi. I'm a South African knifemaker / bladesmith. I already do textures on my knives, such as tree bark, croc skin and whatever else takes my fancy. I also carve wood and metal, but have never tried classic engraving.

Engraving tools are extremely expensive in South Africa, so I make do with what I can make myself. This includes a ball vise that took me two mornings to design and built using scrapyard steel. A lot better than paying US$ 610 (local price)

I hope that the forums and the tutorials will help me improve my work.
