Still practicing on Pocket Knife

Using transfer and made up landscape ...maybe like a, Bulino attempt! Also sharing a practice plate I did about 2 years back and first, second and recent pocket knife engraving. My goal is engrave revolvers that I have. When is a novice ready to engrave a pistol?
