Default Selfmade Rolling Block Pistol

My father has just finished crafting his Rolling Block pistol. This gun is crafted from scratch, every part of the gun is completely hand made. The mechanism is made without a blueprint and is the result of many hours of trial and error.

The wood is made out of a plum tree from our garden. The checkering is also done by him.

I started teaching my father to engrave two years ago. He has made great strides on that account! The gun features some gold inlays, and some silver inlays.

The best part? The gun actually works! It's a cal. 22.

He is eager to hear what you have to say about all areas of this gun. Hope you like it.

A very impressive project for a hobbyist. I didn't know you could own a pistol in Norway.

Hi Steinar,

With the rolling block pistol your dad has done what maybe most of us cannot even contemplate on, but visit the gunsmiths shops and empty of pockets( except for the gunsmiths on the forum )
My compliments to your dad in making and engraving and doing the woodwork.
I hope in due time we will see more of his work.

Two beautiful first guns in the same day. Outstanding work at both the gun smithing and engraving and gold inlay. and stock work. a true family heirloom. to pass from generation to generation. Your father has my complements and admiration. He has great things to come. Fred
