Default just finished

Here is one I just finished with a wall street theme. THe scroll elements were inspired by stock certificates and banknotes from the '30s.

Sorry Steve for the oversized pics but it is hte only way I could get the details to show up on it.

Very nice design and very nicely put together. Is this the knife with sliding compartments that you can keep the $100 bills in?

This one took about 20 hours to do, right?

G'Day Ray,

A very fine work of art! All of the different elements of the theme work flawlessly together! Engravers art at its finest! Who is the maker of the knife? What is the straw colored metal on the sliders? Is that a karat gold? Very nice addition of the bulino on the insides of them. How difficult is the inlay to do between two separate pieces? Sorry for all of the questions but it is a very interesting work.

Makes me wish that I wasn't so exhausted by the time that I get home from work so that I could get a little artsy. I just don't have the energy that I used to in my younger days.

Thank you so much for the large pictures!

I will try to giv ea little more info.

The theme of course is wall street. With the bear market represented on one side and the bull market on the other. The bear and bull are fighting on the two insert panels. The insert panels and inlay panels on the sliding doors are 14K gold The inlay on the door panels is argentium in the 14K.

Joe Kious made the knife. The inserts come out for engraivng.

The designs for the scroll work was modified from banknotes and stock certificates from the 30s representing the fight to revive the market and the economy during the great depresion (and money was just prettier back then:yesnod: ).
