Here are my two studio buddies

This is thunder and lightning. Two of the best dogs I have ever had. Great temperments, very affectionate, and FAST!
Both are whippets. Thunder the white one is show bred and Lightning the brindle is race bred. You can probably tell by his wider rear end.

Gas prices have been too high to run these guys to the races this year so they have been getting their excercise on the local wildlife. So far this year they have left 5 squirrels, 1 rabbit, and a couple robins on my back porch.

I have two helpers as well and I don't know how I could do without them. Charlie my little kitty likes to sharpen graver's. My big dog Taco is the hyper one as you can tell. I have a pillow under my bench too for them.

Had a brittany spaniel for a long time. He was a good pheasant hunter and friend. He died of old age and is now down next to the pond. We are a cat family now. Alvin, Cookie, Zack and Carbide. Carbide is missing from the xmas picture. The second picture is my daughter Kaitlin with Cookie keeping her lap warm while she was painting in her room (of a cat).

Pretty talented kid you got there! ...and very neat. Me, watercolors and a bedspread would not have been a good combination I would have a nice multicolored bed.

The watercolor looks pretty good. You need to get that kid behind a graver.

I had a similar comment to her when I saw her painting on the bedspread. She didn't spill though... or if she did, she or her mother cleaned it up before I saw it.

This is my friend Cosmo. He is a brown head parrot, sweetest little guy.
He is just starting to talk. He does draw blood when he gets upset.
If I could just get a 45 on the front of that beak, I would be all set.

My wife and I have Whippets and have raced them in the past. Most of the whippet racers I know over here have a slang term fo a dog that is half whippet and half grey hound. The term is "Lurcher"

Is your dog part whippet and part Grey hound?

Kal is a whippet cross (we think) he's pretty fast chasing the birds on the beach, although slowing a bit now. Lovely temperament, except at the moment we have his 'cousins' my sister in law's 2 Tibetan spaniels staying with us, he's not impressed, just sulks and lets them do what they want which is invariably eat the house!

here is my little helper,he is a munchkin .they have very short legs witch helps with heel drag i think.

One of my good friends in town is the Vet. Each year it seems someone is turning in an "abandoned" fawn. He takes it in, checks them out and then calls me. I live on a remote island far from town. This has happened three times and I have succesfully weaned all three on goat milk and turned them loose on the island. I also have two Golden Retrivers and a goat. The deer have imprinted on them. I have one of those dog doors w/flap cut into the front door. If I don't block up this flap I can be surprised at any time day or nite by a Sitka Blacktailed deer! They push open the flap,come in and calmly walk around sniffing things out then usually exit the way they came in!
