Jim Russell Zimmerman
Hi All,
I really never did one of these, so it's about time. My name is Jim Zimmerman, or jimzim75. I was born in Detroit, Michigan that was where I grew up. I was first to exposed to engraving by my sixth grade shop teacher, who taught us how to wiggle cut. That was over 50 years ago. The next time I saw engraving and tried it was in High School in the twelfth grade. I decided to go to college for jewellery and design and graduated with a four year certificate in 1975. In my next two jobs as a jeweller we had engravers on the staff. I would get a few hints at this point. I owner of the first shop I worked in was a setter. So I got the bug to do setting. and Have been doing so since. I moved to Canada worked in a few shops, then started my business. These are a few of the setting and engraved items I offer as a service. It's been nice talking to everyone. Jim
