Fracassi and Lindsay belt buckles for sale
With the owner's permission I am posting this email from an engraving customer friend, Brad Miller, who I did a few engraving jobs for. I would guess I engraved this buckle around 1992. If you are interested in the piece feel free to contact him directly.
Steve Lindsay ___________________________________________ Hello Steve, It was nice speaking with you on the phone this morning. Enclosed is the photograph of the gold inlayed Quail Sterling Silver belt buckle. You did this engraving for me and it is the most wonderful example of your amazing scroll work and bolino engraving on the quail. I am planning on offering this on an upcoming auction of Sotheby’s or Christy’s. I thought if you have someone that you think would appreciate the uniqueness of this piece, perhaps you might let me know before I put it in an auction. My asking price for it is $5000. It’s hard for me to put a price on such a priceless work of art but I am sure it is worth more than this. Please advise if you know someone that would be interested. Kind regards, Brad PS I also have another Sterling buckle that is a rare example of Firmo Fracassi’s bolino engraving . I have enclosed a shot of it as well. 305-815-1662 http://www.bradmiller.com http://www.takegreatpictures.com/art...t.asp?aid=1215 |

Re: Lindsay and Fracassi belt buckles for sale
Steve, those buckles are awful nice but I think a little out of my league, I am a struggling artist you know. I will have to wait about 10 years til I can make my own.

Re: Fracassi and Lindsay belt buckles for sale
Steve, did you make the buckle or did you start with a factory blank, The buckle looks as though it is steel. Its a neat idea for an engrave to even make his own so people can see what he does.

Re: Fracassi and Lindsay belt buckles for sale
Hey Steve, I have to compliment Brad on his good taste. He should have no problem getting rid of those pieces. Though I think they should be better behind glass, what better for a Texas BBQ than a buckle carved by either artist. Ya gotta love that kind of stuff. Your friend, Jim

Hi, The buckels are sterling silver. Brad supplied them. I'm not sure where he purchased the blanks. Steve
