Introduction
My talented friend Ron Landis suggested this site to me. I am the Lead Banknote Picture Engraver at the Bureau of Engraving in Washington. I have worked here for 28 years and apprenticed under Tom Hipschen. I have engraved portraits and vignettes for our Country's currency. In 2009, I completed President Obama's official portrait engraving. Prints are available for purchase at the BEP website. Looking forward to checking out all of your incredible work.

Re: Introduction
Welcome to this forum Mr. Madden.
In the mind of the public, when people think of an engraver, they imagine the type of work that you do when, in reality, there are far more of us who do decorative engraving. Your skills are very unique. Do you ever do decorative engraving outside your official work environment? Regards, Roger
