Hello, My name is Tom and I have an addiction...

Been lurking round this forum for a couple years now and didn't/don't feel that I know enough to add to many of the discussions, I am cutting as much as I can but I build 18th century muzzleloaders so the cutting is mainly for them and that limits my time.

I am curious if there are any around Oregon that have Steve's AirGraver, would like to drool over the tool abit

Thanks for the forum Steve, engraving has been a protected skill such as the trade guilds of the past, its nice to see some things are loosening up a tad and there are some that are sharing the craft with others.

Steve's been working hard to get us to be more active so chime on in!

The internet is great in that way - even if you only know one thing, sooner or later someone, somewhere, is going to ask that question!

Of course the odds are good you won't see it until six other people have already answered, but the hope is still there. :p

Welcome Tom, I started making knives from the 18th century, and the wife and I have done alot of rondesvous. I probably have seen you somewhere, We have done alot of pacifics and westerns. You have to be careful this engraving can take you someplace you never thought of before. I am now starting into the art knife world and I never thought I would make more than the primitive knives. Keep cutting and jump in with anything.

Heck, I figure one of the things I do to be usefull is ask dumb questions. Not only does it get answers that other people might have been embarrassed to ask for, it encourages other people to say what they were wanting to say - which is often quite interesting.

I'm on Whidbey Island, about 50 miles NW of Seattle, if you ever get up this direction, and I have a Palm Control you can play with.
