Default New to the Forum

Greetings from a cold Georgia today. I am attempting to engrave, primarily the knives I make, and all of you have been highly recommended to me. I look forward to "visiting" with you on a regular basis, and my hope is that someday I'll be able to make worthwhile contributions to the forum. Mr Jim Small has been a tremendous help to me so far, and per his instructions, I am engraving "an inch a day, everyday"(Really, more than an inch, but those were his instructions.) I have been making knives for about 30 years, and thought I was engraving until I met Jim, saw a demo he did, and talked with him several times. I realized then that all I had been doing was making lines on metal, and I'm changing that into something that resembles engraving, hopefully. Thank you all for being there for us novices....James
